The following is commission information in regards to receiving artwork from me. These terms are relevant to non-commercial projects only, and are subject to revision. You must read, understand, and agree to all the below terms before the commission request is accepted.

››› About.

Name: Asia Kendrick-Horton
Style/Technique: Cartoon-based, with lineart and/or painting.
Specialty: Character Art (including Character Design and Character Development), People.
Medium: Digital – Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Corel Painter 11, with 6x8" Wacom Intuos3 tablet.

››› Pricing and Examples.

Prices are primarily fixed, unless otherwise noted depending on details of the commission request. Refer to the attached images for examples. All prices range corresponding with detail of the character, the design, and/or overall complexity of image. Please note: these are only base prices that are subject to change.

Please Note: Commission images that request major complexities may push a "basic" illustration into a "complex" one, in terms of pricing.

Sketch Commission.

A "Sketch Commission" is comprised of quick and sketchy lines. Has more of "rough" look, when compared to a more refined work (such as a Lineart or Digi-Paint Commissions).   

   - Headshot: $10 per character.

      + Add Flat Color: $5.
      + Add Cel-Shaded Color: $10.

   - Bust/Half-Body: $15 per character.
      + Add Flat Color: $5.
      + Add Cel-Shaded Color: $10.
      + Add Simple Background: $10.
      + Add Detailed Background: $20.

   - Full-Body: $25 per character.
      + Add Flat Color: $5.
      + Add Cel-Shaded Color: $15.
      + Add Simple Background: add $15.
      + Add Detailed Background: add $25.


Lineart Commission.

A "Lineart Commission" is a refined work, compared to a Sketch Commission. Clean lines are more focused on for this type of commission.

   - Headshot: $20 per character.

      + Add Flat Color: $5.
      + Add Cel-Shaded Color: $10.
      + Add Painted Color: $15.

   - Bust/Half-Body: $30 per character.
      + Add Flat Color: $5.
      + Add Cel-Shaded Color: $25.
      + Add Simple Background: $10.
      + Add Detailed Background: $25.

   - Full-Body: $45 per character.
      + Add Flat Color: $5.
      + Add Cel-Shaded Color: $20.
      + Add Simple Background: $15.
      + Add Detailed Background: $35.

Digi-Paint Commission.

A "Digi-Paint Commission" is a commission type more focused on giving the illustration a more "painted" feel when compared to a Lineart Commission.

   - Headshot: $45 per character.

      + Includes Color (Black and White optional).
      + Add Simple Background: $15.
      + Add Detailed Background: $35.

   - Bust/Half-Body: $55 per character.
      + Includes Color (Black and White optional).
      + Add Simple Background: $20.
      + Add Detailed Background: $45.

   - Full-Body: $85 per character.
      + Includes Color (Black and White optional).
      + Add Simple Background: add $30.
      + Add Detailed Background: add $60.

The canvas size I usually work with: 8.5x11", (or about 3500x2550px) 300 dpi, hi-resolution (may vary).
File format of delivery: .jpg (may request different format).
Completed commissions will be sent via note, uploaded via dA, and/or e-mail.

››› Examples on how to form a "Commission Type":

Example 1: Sketch (Headshot + Flat Color) = $15.
Example 2: Lineart (Full-Body + Add Character + Detailed Background) = $125.
Example 3: Sketch (Bust/Half-Body + Cel-Shaded Color) = $25.
Example 4: Digi-Paint (Full-Body + Detailed Background) = $145.

››› Terms and Conditions.

Please be sure to make inquiries as specific and detailed as possible.

• I will NOT create anything that is morally questionable or of offensive material. I am willing to create anything EXCEPT for the following: the depiction of illegal activities, overtly sexual and explicit (x-rated) materials, and/or hateful/racist images.

• I have the right to refuse any commission request.

• In the case of closed commissions, you may be put on my waiting list. You will be contacted once commissions open up again.

• I reserve the right to issue a refund and/or cancel a commission due to poor communication, rude/inappropriate behavior.

• You may not re-distribute, reproduce, or re-sell the Artist's work, or profit from the artwork, beyond the resale of a physical original painting or drawing (applies to traditional media only).

• I am not responsible for printing (digital media). You must purchase the cost of printing separately.

• It is is advised to specify the size of your commissioned image. Excessively large images will cost more. Excessively small images may reduce the price.

• You  may resize/crop the commissioned artwork to create icons, wallpapers, or other graphics to be used in non-commercial digital format, but you cannot alter the artwork itself.

• Commissioner's rights can be negotiated for an added fee. If the commissioned image will be used for commercial purposes, you must be notify me prior to the start of work. Commercial use of images will be decided upon on a case-by-case basis, and will result in an increased commission rate. New terms of service must be decided upon before I can begin any work on a commission for commercial use.

››› Copyright Information.

Commissioned images are copyright © Asia Kendrick-Horton. All artwork created are solely owned by me.

I am not work for hire.

• I retain all rights to the commissioned artwork, including the rights to distribution (i.e., to create prints, merchandise, etc.). Credit of character will remain yours.

• I retain the right to display all commissioned work on any personal website, gallery, or journal. If the commissioned work is time-sensitive, I may delay public display of the art at request.

• Artworks created should be maintained as for personal use only, and shall not be reproduced without my direct permission.

››› Commercial Use.

If interested in using my work for commercial purposes (for profit: advertising, promotion, publications, t-shirts, etc.), please specify within your request. Additional information will be provided upon response.

If you wish to license my artwork, disregard these terms, and contact me via email. A differentiated version of these set of terms apply to licensed works, and will be decided upon on a case-by-case basis.

››› Payment Policy.

All prices are expressed in U.S. dollars, and payments are expected to be made as such. You are responsible for sending the correct amount, equal to the listed U.S. dollar amount.

• Displayed base prices are subject to change according to the complexity, difficulty, size, and medium of each individual piece.

When sending transaction payment through PayPal, please insert your dA username as the subject. This is to prevent unorganization and confusion.

50% total price is to be paid upfront in advance. The commission will only begin once initial payment is received.

Remaining 50% is to be paid upon completion. You will receive the low-quality, watermarked version of your finished commission. Full-sized, unwatermarked image will not be sent until full payment is received.

• Commission payments are to be made utilizing PayPal services ONLY. If you do not have Paypal account, please specify an alternative means of payment that can be negotiated. However, payment is still required up front, before I can begin work on a commission.

• Any donations outside of commissions are appreciated!

››› Revisions.

Additional fees may be charged to you for major revisions.

Preliminary Work/Sketches: Fees, upon submission to you of one or two rough sketches, or one finished sketch, will be charged towards sketches and all revisions that reflect a new direction for the assignment or new conceptual input.

Finished Commission: Additional fee will apply to a revision of a completed commission. This consists of major changes only. Please be specific in your revision request. Fees are to be negotiated separately. No additional fee will be charged for changes required to bring final artwork up to original specifications or assignment description.

››› Cancellation.

Cancellation ("kill") fees are due based on the amount of work completed. If you wish to cancel your commission during the sketch stage, he/she will be refunded 50% of what he/she paid (with exception for Sketch Commissions, where you will be refunded full amount). No refund will be issued beyond the sketch phase of a commission.

››› Inquiry Details.

You MUST make commission inquiry as specific and clear as possible. Clear and concise visual references and/or description of a commission idea must be provided by you. Please note that I will evoke creative freedom on anything that is not fully explained or included within the request. Please send completed inquiry via note or email.

Sorry, I might be being daft here... I am wondering what "CG" means in your commission list. Is it "computer graphic or generated?" Or something else completely? Please excuse my dull-wittedness. :P

For the full body added with color; it's $45 for each character, is it $35 once or for both as well?

Also is fanart okay, like a racebent character?
